I Didn’t Know It Would Break

Posted: September 30, 2010 in Tenderly

We take so much for granted even thought we might try hard not to. I am guilty of taking certain expectations for granted. I still expect that people will be here for a very long time, especially the people who matter the most.  None of us has control on what the future has in store for us, in fact we can hardly see took the corner far less around the corner. Sometime great friends leave, they have to move on with their lives.

I Didn’t Know It Would Break

I am sometimes reckless

Do dangerous things, of times
thoughtless

If these stupid ways have affected you

Dear faithful friend forgive these
things I do

Not ever did I expect that you will not
be here

That my friend will go and no longer be
near

Keeping in reach with each other by
online means

No longer will be enough, its blown to
smithereens

Our camaraderie was unique, our
laughter sure

When you phoned I always felt the bond
was pure

I looked forward to hearing you but now
you’re gone

There is a heart piercing feeling now
you’ve withdrawn

We shared many tales of past truths
when

Our lives had paths unattached, walking
separately then

Used to be times in places far apart

Living unaware we will later such a
friendship start

Did not know how you’d become so
important to me

But I loved the moments and wish
selfishly

Regular chats which can not be again

Emotional severance now has brought
strange pain

At a time when I have reinforced my
soul, better to make

Knew a soul flexes but I Didn’t Know It Would Break

My friends, I say good morning to my parents every day. I kneel and give God my praise everyday. Eat, drink, bath and lots of mundane things I do everyday too. Reminding and asking others to pray for our Prime Minister is a far more important daily thing I do. I call on you to pray with me and the thousands of others because some things do need your daily attention and this is most certainly one. The following Acrostic poem was inspired by a true life story shared with us by Kim on Facebook

He Felt Like God’s Intercom

Heart
attack was massive and he was pronounced dead

Emergency
shocks didn’t revive him, he flat lined instead

Forty
minutes had now gone and he started turning blue

Extremities
turned black so all present knew

Life had
past from the body that laid motionless

Though the
lone doctor upon leaving turned back relentless

Like he
was drawn by a compelling voice telling his say a prayer

It felt
silly and embarrassing but there was no one to be aware

Knelt and
said “Father..I cry out for this man’s soul”

Excuse his
past, raise him up, give him new control

Give him another
chance that that he might know you

One more
shock he begged the returning ER doctor to do

Did and
regular rhythm came back immediately

So to his respiration
and color in his body

It was a
miracle and to God be the praise

None of his
colleagues believed prayer heals nowadays

The
blatant truths came years ago when his son got leukemia

Enquiries
back in 2000 found none sympathetic in the academia

Reality
has shown us the power of prayer

Call on
the Lord our Savior asked Him to drawer near

Our Prime
Minister needs you to believe because prayers heal

Miracles happen
all around us so please hear this appeal

Emerald Green

Posted: September 29, 2010 in Tenderly

Do you know what a few million dollars can buy, the amount of dresses and shoes. The bags and glitz plus a decent home and still have more. Not many people know what millions can buy because they have no real idea what a million dollars looks like and its reach. But some things are priceless and I thought this was one

Emerald Green

Eyes gazed
into mine then out to the sea

My love
was enjoying the walk with me

Every step
we took we checked the sand

Reach for
the seashells with a free hand

And then I
saw spangle so bright

Look like
broken bottle but I was unsure in the light

Dropped
quickly by it so the tide wouldn’t take it away

Got a
shocking surprise that change our lives from that day

Riches
beyond riches and emerald to put anything within reach

Everything
made available from this jewel found on the beach

Eyes gazed
into mind and love said set it in an engagement ring

Nothing
made me more proud of my love before, nothing

Try To Reciprocate Pt2

Posted: September 29, 2010 in Facebook

I hear the explanations of reciprocate and I remember all the things they told me while very young. I have worked out the meaning of the word “reciprocate” for me and I hope you might agree.

Try To Reciprocate

There are
things you do quid pro quo

Respond to
complements from people you know

You’re
told you’re looking well you say you look well too

Though the
person looked nothing like the person you knew

Or the
salutations as you pass each other along the way

Reciprocate
by returning I wish you too a “Good day!”

Every act
of kindness or gesture of goodwill

Countered
with your complimented response is thought to be civil

If someone
loves you and you can’t reciprocate

Put them in
the know from early don’t wait too late

Reciprocating
is about fair value equal or better returns

Once you
give back less it prompts many concerns

Call if
they called and write if they wrote

And you
don’t reciprocate by returning a loan to the last note

To return
what is owed is not to reciprocate

Eff yah
gine give let it be the gesture to show you appreciate

Try To Reciprocate

Fight fire with fire take an eye fah and eye, lot of strange thing we grew up with and it is hard to dispel them. When someone raises their voice at you it would be nice if we could control the conversation by lowering ours. I remember a teacher who used to speak especially softly when the boys were noisy. He maintained if they wanted to hear they would make less noise. He was right and it worked

Try To Reciprocate

They told
me when I go to school

Return
every blow wid a blow leh dah be yah rule

You can’t
get beat up and don’t beat back

They will
fah evah bully yah, you’ll be theirs to attack

On my
first day at aaround lunch time

Rang an
old fashion bell not the electric chime

Everyone it
seemed rushed busting with hunger

Canteen
was full and the lines were getting longer

I finally
got two from the top when a big boy stepped in

Put
himself in front of me and started to grin

Really you
can’t do that I said politely but stern

One punch
in my mouth and I recall what they wanted me to learn

Cuffs,
slaps, punches and neck locks they all were the same

Any time
someone started it you must beat them at their game

There is
no fight I lost although the lesson was not great

Every blow
I got through school I would Try To Reciprocate

1My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Mister Prime Minister The Lord is Here

My son, forget not my law; but let
thine

Inner man keep the commandments that
are mine

So shall they add length of days, long
life and peace to thee

Truth you must not forsake nor should
you forsake mercy

Engrave them upon the table of thine
heart

Round thy neck you shall wear them from
the start

People will favor you

Respect and understand you too

It will be the same with the Father up
high

Man and God will favor and understand
if these you’ll apply

Everything now you must

Make God’s purpose and trust

In Him with every fabric of your being

Now you must lean not to thine own
understanding

In all thy ways acknowledge the Father

Show Him your praises and after

Trust that He will be there

Encamping around you everywhere

Rely on Him to guide you

Trust that He will see you through

He shall direct your paths

Effectively restoring joys and laughs

Let not illness cause you to despise

Or be not wise in thine own eyes

Rather understand He does things His
way

Devote you life to the Lord and His
words obey

If you can truly trust the Lord and in
Him fear

Sins and evils from these depart and
forever forbear

Health to thy navel, and marrow to thy
bones

Earnest prayers and obedience will
realize the unknowns

Rest now Mister Prime Minister The Lord Is Here

Each one of your well-wishers called
and the Lord has drawn near

The Betrothal

Posted: September 28, 2010 in Love

A walk on the beach can be so very relaxing, with company, it is even better. They say that the sea breezes are good for the body and can purge you of toxins. But the sand in your toes offers natural massage and the practitioners of reflexology are sure to agree, your body seems more relax after this natural massage. Then they are the many things you see on the beach, seashells are but a few of its treasures

The Betrothal

They walked together on the beach

Hand in hand fingers locked in each

Each step they took side by side

Behind were footprints like a groom and bride

Except one had toes the other had none

The groom had his shoes on since they had begun

Relaxed the bride felt as sand tickled her toes

Only a few steps seaward were spangles and glows

The pebbles had sea shells like jewels of the sea

How unique in shape, how delightfully pretty

And then the groom spotted broken bottle like none they had seen

Look love, the bride grabbed it and said, its emerald green

If I had the opportunity to sit with the Prime Minister I would tell him of all the ways he made me laughed and all the ways he made me admire him. They were times that he may have been of questionable conduct but that may have been my harsh judgment because he often laughed until he was red like a cherry with the support of many others around
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Call Unto Me, And I Will Answer Thee

Confined
in the courtyard of the guard Jeremiah heard

A second
time it came to him, the Lord’s word

Lord who
made the earth in His wondrous way

Lord who
formed it and established it had these words to say

Unto me
you can call and I will answer you

Not of
things known to tell but things great and unsearchable too

Today we
call on the Lord and we will say

Our leader
needs your help to rid his cancer away

Many join
in prayer and many

Earnestly
pray at home individually

All the
same, we know all can’t get out

Numerous are
ailing, unable to get about

Don’t
diminish your involvement and the part you play

It’s
important where ever you are to earnestly pray

Where ever
you are call on the Father above

Invite His
mercy upon this one we love

Let Him be
in control, say that we

Lord call
upon you that you will be

Allaying the
threat upon our Prime Minister

Negate the
fear of Prostate Cancer

Shush the
worries of his family

Wipe out
this darkness brought on our country

Every man,
woman, girl and boy

Restored
to serenity that they can enjoy

The
leadership our Hon. David Thompson brings

His role
in Government, family and many other thing

Eternal
God heal our Prime Minister, your Word says that if we

Earnestly “Call Unto Me And I Will Answer Thee

Genesis of Dance

Posted: September 27, 2010 in Best Wishes, Facebook

Happy Anniversary to the couple who managed to start the Genesis Dance Studio together during their 26 years of marriage, we are all very grateful to you. We know you accomplished much more together but some how we find ourselves looking back at Genesis every time because of what it has meant. I know of older folk who have enjoyed the Line dances and Waltzing and the younger ones who have Jive and Quickstep over the dance floor. What ever the dance or the occasion, hundreds are now better on their feet because of you. May God continue to bless you with good health and happiness!

Genesis of Dance

Go Latin or
Ballroom and dance with passion

Each
exciting step and your body in motion

Never go
away without removing your stress

Enjoy the
nights of dance and pure happiness

Satisfaction
and pleasure are mere side effects

Intimacy
with no one is encouraged, show your respects

Salsa, the
Paso doble, Samba, Tango and Merengue

Our nights
of dancing make the world seem okay

Friends we
owe it all to a wonderful duo

Doing
their most to make us all better to go

And dance
confidently in competition

National
and international, any can be won

Congratulations
on the celebration of your anniversary

Everyone
here appreciates all you’ve done to make Genesis a reality

Please see your card here

The Master’s Hand

Posted: September 25, 2010 in Facebook, In the News, Living With
The new today was that the Prime Minister was feeling better. I am glad that he is in greater comfort and was able to receive calls and visitors. I know how important it is to have visitors and calls that disrupt the otherwise long days of looking around the same room, after a while you know each crack. You see when your mind I still active and the body is weak there is a natural conflict.

The Master’s Hand

There is a healer greater than physicians we know

He can remove all maladies and to Him we can go

Earnestly call upon Him that he can draw nigh

My God and your God extends His healing hand when He hears our cry

And for those who toss and turn in their sleep

Shushes their fears and dries their tears should they weep

Those afraid and full of doubt

Elevates their hopes and gets disbeliefs out

Restore dear Lord good health to our Prime Minister

Save him from the ravages of this pancreatic cancer

Heard the Prime Minister was feeling better today

And I felt better too and more encouraged to pray

Now we can’t stop, our prayers are getting through

Dear friend, The Master’s Hand has been listening to you
