Becoming A President

Posted: December 3, 2011 in Barack Obama

I saw the list of requirement for becoming president in the
USA
and I never expected that becoming a president would not require more stringent
qualifications. The good about this is that anyone can seek legitimately to
become president; the bad thing is that anyone can seek legitimately to become
president too. Hopefully, the forces of good and fair democracy will elect the
most required candidate. Now, if only we can make requirements our needs

Becoming A President

Barack Obama left his trail;

Emulate it and you can never fail

Careful steps along the way

Obama played it cool that’s why he’s president today

Men on their way to becoming a president will know

It’s important to have a clean record to show

Not just the Birth Certificate but a list of things

Got to have charisma, nerves of steel and the leverage
good support brings

A skeleton free
closet, thick skin, you must be 35 years or more

Prospects must have lived at least 14 years in the US and never served
before

Requirements for becoming president don’t indicate

Education, wide knowledge, good family ties or ability
to debate

So few are the qualifications for becoming president but
we know

It’s important to have lots of good qualities because
it’s no pony show

Do not think of being President if you can’t rise above
men

Equaling their morals and standards are not enough my
friend

Nominations should narrow the candidates and throw the
phonies away

There is much required of you on Becoming A President in the great USA

Becoming A President

I watched, probably as you did too, President Barack Obama signing the new START treaty in Prague. This Treaty will see the reduction of Nuclear weapons from well over 2000 in each country by 30% to bring them first to 1550 each and later, hopeful soon, to lower the arsenal of Nukes in these countries even further. It is also very hopeful that other countries will follow this very bold initiative. Hooray for Obama and Medvedev for achieving this signing that had no similar counterpart in the last 20 years. I say bravo President Barack Obama for again speaking peaceful initiatives into being.

START-Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty

So, did you see, did you hear

The President Obama went over there

Russian President Medvedev received him too

And they did what others in 20 years couldn’t do

Together they signed the new “START” Treaty

Eliminating stock piles of nuclear weaponry

Governments from both countries will now strive

Industriously to keep Peace alive

China we hope will soon follow

Also North Korea and Iran, soon Nukes will be zero

Reducing all chances of long-range fights

Medvedev and Obama STARTed these enormous plights

Stabilizing Their Atomic Radioactive Technologies

Reducing them to zero in all countries

Eventually no threats of long-range missiles, so we

Don’t have to fear obliteration or holocaustic tyranny

Under this START Treaty we take the first leap

Carefully watching ahead knowing it’s too late to creep

The world needs leaders willing to swiftly move

In sync with a common purpose willing to improve

Our Global standings with each other, to live in Peace

Not the constant battles in Wars which never cease

Today President Barack Obama again showed that we

Regardless to race, creed or sovereignty

Earn our place in the world as citizens of it

And through a mutual appreciation can commit

To making this world a better place

Yes We Can if together “START” we’ll embrace

Today is the first day since the vote in Congress for the Health care Reform Bill in America. It is far too long a Bill to attempt to summarize it in this short acrostic. What I have used here are the things that I will remember from the Bill. Again, I have been fortunate to witness a very Historic event and hope to share it with many of readers.

This Is What Change Looks Like

Thanks to past generations who brought us here

Heroic efforts made it possible for us to get Health
Care

It took current Members of Congress to pass the final
vote

Some 219 brave men and women who today wrote

Into History a Reform Bill that will help many

So many previous Americans who couldn’t get any

With all the preconditions, job status, the disenfranchised

Hospitals refusing care because treatment was privatized

All this now controlled so none is turned away

Treatment assured because all can afford Healthcare
today

Coverage is not denied because of conditions that
pre-exist

Healthcare through your employer is good so you may keep
this

And no longer will you have those unexpected spikes

No Insurance Company can target you for premium hikes

Government may even give you a tax credit

Every uninsured person will be insured, the Government
will see to it

Lots of tax credits to Small Businesses to insure
employees

Owners of these businesses now have a greater tax ease

Our kids can stay on our insurance until they are 26

Kudos to President Barack Obama for adding this fix

Stupak was called “Baby Killer” although it was he

Leading anti-abortion clauses and the President EO
eventually

It guarantees no money in the Bill will be used for
abortions

Keeps the language precise to satisfy Pro-Life Americans

Exceptional transformations will occur and this is the
first strike

This Is What Change
Looks Like!

A Merry Christmas Obama Family

Posted: December 25, 2009 in Barack Obama, Seasons

A wish to the Obama’s Family for a Merry Christmas, is a wish to the entire America family and the countries who are tied to the economy of America. I say this because, the better able the Obamas serve while in the White House, the better and sooner the state of affairs in the world will clear us.

A Merry Christmas Obama Family

A Birth long ago brought us great cheer

Miracles followed to people everywhere

Emery could never smooth the rough edges He found

Rampant sins were occurring all around

Rights contorted into personal gain

Young awkwardness lost and social disdain

Change we made when in Him we believed

His words whispered a truth we ably received

Righteousness came and the people were healed

It took His reach out to thousands and truths revealed

Savior, Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords and King of Kings

Taught lots and healed many with His wondrous blessings

Multitudes of His followers were there wherever He would go

And the Word of our Deliverer spread to places high and low

So many believed on Him, on His word they hung their belief

On the faith in the Messiah they were freed from grief

Blessed by His powers and loved through His grace

A light that glowed Eternity in His promised embrace

My God and Savior came here and while He was here

A chosen few were taught to go spread His Word everywhere

Faith in the Father and the steadfast faith in His son

Are the doctrines that the Christians taught since they begun

Merriment to all men, peace and love, happiness too

In these trying times and economic strain we wish the best for you

Lots of His joy to you, may the Father’s Blessings be near

Yuletide wishes for a great Season and Prosperous New Year

I tried for this opportunity and when it came I was shocked. Just out of the blues it happened. The President of the United States Of America, Barack Obama and his first lady Michelle Obama. I didn’t remember to tell him of my book that I had given an Aide to give him earlier this year on his trip to the Caribbean. I had sent him an autographed copy of
“Path To The White House” and had hope that he gets the chance to read it. Michelle Obama promises that Barack will call me, in person as soon as they located the copy.

I Talked To Barack And
Michelle Last Night

It was an incredible and lucid conversation

There was little politics in our discussion

A brief mention of the importance of Health Care

Little inclusion of the Economy, Jobs and things to
beware

Kudos to this great man and his audacity

Education he said is foremost in the recovery

Didn’t know he was so humorous and candid

There was no tension in our talk and he did

One thing I found difficult and I didn’t know how to
answer back

Before we got into 5 minutes talk he said call me Barack

And I was stupefied for a moment, tripping on every word

Respect of the highest order is due so I didn’t believe
what I heard

At the very moment I was coming to grips with it

Call came through from some one from his recent summit

Keep talking with Michelle until I return

And unbelievably there she was with interested concern

No detectable apprehension in her voice

Didn’t seem like she would have made another choice

Michelle spoke with me and we were like reunited friends

I told her about the things I think transcends

Culture and the rituals we now adopt

How some more important things we had stopped

Encouraging the young to waste and eat

Lots of the fast foods that will eventually cheat

Longevity and move the goal post closer in

Even see the rampant tendencies of adults for sin

Learning our kids immoralities

Avoiding to teach them of responsibilities

Shirking our roles and leaving it to fate

Then giving them all the modern technology to derogate

Nip bits of any residual righteousness from before

I talked my head off and could talk no more

Got a high just from the thought of the Obama’s and me

Having this level of conversation and being so friendly

Then Michelle said Barack was called away and was glad
that we spoke

       I
told her about my Path To The White House, then I awoke

The Nobel Peace Prize

Posted: October 9, 2009 in Barack Obama

President Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States of America and the first African-American president elected there, today receive the greatest honor bestowed on any man in the world forum when he was given the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009. This caught the world by surprise since he was only in office just weeks before the nomination closed in February of this year. The team Obama must be applauded for their foresight to take this initiative and note must be taken to the change that has overcome the nations of this world. Still in his humble demeanor, President Obama reminded the world first of the responsibilities to family

The Nobel Peace Prize

This morning he awoke to Malia saying dad you won!

He didn’t start celebrating before more followed on

Eagerly she continued, dad it’s Bo’s birthday!

Nobel Peace Prize is great but other responsibilities he had to portray

Obama always said he was first a dad

Bo the family pet was the only dog they had

Letting this Birthday past would be a major wrong

Even though this award was great he must first get along

Pets are like family and must not be set aside

Every occasion with family Barack smiles wide

And though he is humbled that the world nations believe

Change can start from ideas small men conceive

Even though he is the first sitting President in 90 years

Presented with this honor for his approach to world affairs

Rights of world citizens are in his forefront but close at home

Is the responsibility of family and Nation where ever he may roam

Zilch is the significance of personal grandeur and so he

Emphasized the involvement of all people and it starts with family

But Not My Children

Posted: September 4, 2009 in Barack Obama

I’m not sure where it is all going but only last year President Of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was invited to speak at a College in Columbia, USA. I certainly didn’t see the kind of unrest in America as I do now. I think that students who are deprived either by their parents or their schools, are being exposed not only racism but to unpatriotic messages that will say to these young kids that not even the President is worth of a voice. And if this is so, what expectations should they have of themselves

But Not My Children

Burnt from drugs, thousands kill their souls

Unveiled commando shots of idols and idols dancing on
poles

Too many shoot outs in the schools

No restrictions on skimpy and ragged clothes, no rules

Oodles of piercings and many in some unimaginable place

Tattoos, videos, and pics posted to bring public disgrace

Music tooting vulgarity, violence and rage

Youngsters have no religious values at their vulnerable
age

Cellular phones to text disgusting phrases

Homework undone and when done not worthy of praises

It’s hard not to see the generation lost

Looking for happiness and paying an invaluable cost

Doing so much wrong and needing a strong arm

Reaching out for help to those who’ll do them harm

Especially with all that these kids are faced with today

No child should be denied listening to the President of
the USA

Today was the Funeral for Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy.  I listened to the service and was particularly interested in what his family and President Barack Obama had to say. I thought that Ted Kennedy Jr. , his son who had contracted bone cancer and had a leg removed when he was 12 years old. He was particular good with his delivery. If ever there is a politician following his dad and uncles, it is clear to me that he is the one, perhaps even a President. The following was inspired by the funeral for Ted Kennedy

Into Your Hands We
Commend Our Brother

It got dark out, from the gray in the sky

No sunlight and the clouds started to cry

The umbrellas came out from both strong and weak

Opened and raised as tears from the skies caught my
cheek

You felt restricted as it rained

Our uniformed men brought the coffin as trained

Unison steps one after the other

Rehearsed to move this, the youngest Kennedy brother

He was in and the service got on the way

And the Priest said “My dear friends” and started to
pray

Now a silence, then the organ music, then they sung

Devoted family rolled in the coffin and more tears begun

So many folk and not an eye dry

Weeping, it was okay to cry

Embraces and a comforting smile

Came from friends across the aisle

Only I wanted them to hold me more tightly

My sorrow escalated then suddenly

Music stopped and it wasn’t as solemn then

Extract from the bible, “who can be against” God’s men

Now it’s time to gather our memories

Do this and share the lost with your buddies

Old anecdotes of the “Luck of the Irish”

Universal health care and how he helped the impoverish

Ready always to help every one in need

Bills he wrote and others he cause to succeed

Recalling those saying “You wouldn’t believe who called
me today”

Or the times he just called to say Happy Birthday

The families he consoled after the 9/11 tragedy

His repeated calls to them to offer more than empathy

Edward experienced a breaking point more than any other

Resisted it all, now Lord, Into Your Hands We
Commend Our Brother

They came in their numbers as the Senator Ted Kennedy’s body laid in repose. They were all kinds of people and all kinds of ages. Victoria Kennedy in her always collect and charming self greeted many of the dignitaries that arrived. If Ted was able to see this all, I wonder what he would say.

As I Stayed There
Motionless

A large crowd waited to come in

So many waiting for their chance when

In that room, quietly, they can their emotions expose

So many different ways, as I laid there in repose

They waved red caps in camaraderie

A sign we once shared the same sporting affinity

Younger generations passed and gently nod thank you

Every one seemingly knowing what we fought so hard to do

Dads brought kids and I heard them say

Ted was one that made the American Dream okay

Hands came up to foreheads in awkward salutes

Even had old men wearing some undersized suits

Respect came from all walks of life

Eager young couples, an old man with his wife

Many walked slowly into the library, in strong physique

Others came with walkers and wheel chairs and others,
weak

There were many who made a cross on their chest

I saw others kissed a crucifix and many of the rest

Over my coffin said a humbling prayer

Numbed me more, still I couldn’t shed a tear

Lion, they said, we know what we must do

Enact those bills you fought for years and with passion
too

Set in Law policies like Universal Health Care

So I said Lord, I’ve seen their souls, now I can await
them here

Mountains To Melt

Posted: August 27, 2009 in Barack Obama, In the News, Kennedy

The following was inspired by a post I read from the Huffington Post. I’m happy when people are given the chance to speak freely but all of a sudden, I do not like free speech. Too many people are saying things that they don’t truly believe. I think when the forefathers tried to encourage this freedom, they were thinking of truthful men.

Mountains Of Ice To Melt

Millions in the banks sitting and “the least among us”

On streets or in decrepit homes and politicians fail to
discuss

Universal health care which might ensure many of these

Never suffer with treatable ailments or succumb to
disease

The Lion in the Senate worked hard that we may

Alleviate poverty from this country one day

Initiated Acts to give all people equal Rights

Nightmares turned into American Dreams was one of his
fights

Senator Ted Kennedy spent the best of 47 years

Organizing to give voice to the voiceless and quell
their tears

For decades he wrote and had passed over 300 bills

Interacted with both sides of the aisle and shared his
skills

Called us to tap into our Angels within

Eradicate the selfishness and hush sin

There are still mountains of ice to melt, people to
awake

Our society has too much cold-heartedness or façades fake

Many praise the Lion now that he is gone

Even all his work but will they let it live on

Last on his agenda was the Universal Health Care

The least among us are suffering, lets hope they have a
prayer
